1. Scope and definitions
Aletia is the website at aletia.pl. A user is a person browsing the website or using the form; an enquiry is a submitted form describing a need for legal help; a lawyer is an independent professional with whom the user may arrange assistance.
These terms cover website information and client enquiry handling, including business enquiries. They do not replace a separate agreement with a lawyer or govern professional cooperation and registration in the lawyer panel.
2. What Aletia provides
The service provides information about legal topics and a contact form. Enquiry handling comprises receiving the enquiry, identifying its general topic and organisational contact about possible assistance and contact with a suitable lawyer.
A suitable contact depends on the topic, language and availability. Aletia does not guarantee acceptance of every case, a particular consultation date or a case outcome. If no suitable contact is available, the user may discontinue further handling.
Blog articles provide general information. Individual assessment, the scope of legal assistance and any power of attorney are agreed with a lawyer on the basis of the documents and circumstances.
3. Submitting an enquiry
Enter your name, an email address or phone number and a short description. In the general form, choose a topic or “Other / Not sure”. A service page sets the topic automatically. The enquiry language follows the page language.
You can correct your details or close the form before sending it. Tick the required acceptance box and press the submit button. The agreement for free enquiry handling is concluded when the form is successfully transmitted to the Aletia system. A success message confirms receipt.
An error message does not confirm receipt. If in doubt, contact the service by email. Submitting a form does not itself create an agreement for legal assistance with a lawyer.
4. Free handling and a separate instruction to a lawyer
Browsing the website and sending an enquiry are free. The form does not collect payment, start a subscription or oblige you to purchase a consultation.
Before instructing a lawyer, agree their identity and professional qualifications, the scope, price, payment arrangements, timing and cooperation terms. The lawyer decides whether to accept the instruction, including after checking for conflicts of interest.
5. Deadlines and court correspondence
An enquiry to Aletia is not a filing with a court or authority and does not suspend deadlines, enforcement or other proceedings. It does not replace a properly filed appeal or objection.
If a deadline applies, check the instructions and the date of service. Do not wait for a service reply if doing so could prevent timely action; seek suitable assistance directly.
6. Data and permitted content
Provide accurate contact details and information needed to identify the topic. At this initial stage, do not enter PESEL numbers, identity document numbers, passwords, payment details, health information, criminal convictions or other particularly sensitive information. Do not send complete case files or another person’s data without authority.
Unlawful content, infringement of others’ rights, spam, impersonation, disruption and attempts to bypass security are prohibited. Agree any further documents and a secure transmission method separately when needed.
The Privacy Policy explains processing, recipients, retention and your rights. Accepting these terms is not marketing consent or explicit consent to processing special categories of data. Cookie choices are handled separately.
7. Technical requirements and security
You need internet access and an up-to-date browser supporting HTTPS and HTML. JavaScript enables form messages without reloading and language switching. Provide a working email address or phone number for contact.
Keep your software updated, protect your device and check the domain. Internet risks include phishing, malware and unauthorised access to an unsecured device. If you have technical problems, you can email the service directly.
8. Cancellation and completion
You may close the page before submitting. After submission, you may stop further handling without charge by emailing the service with enough information to locate your enquiry. You do not need to give a reason.
Handling ends after the relevant organisational steps, your cancellation or notice that further assistance cannot be offered. The provider may end handling for abuse or an objective inability to contact you. Complaint and data protection rights remain available.
These terms do not exclude any statutory withdrawal right where it applies. Agree withdrawal arrangements for a separate lawyer agreement with that lawyer. Stopping Aletia handling does not automatically cancel an instruction or power of attorney given to a lawyer.
9. Complaints
You can send a complaint about the website or enquiry handling to the email or postal address stated at the beginning. Describe the issue and the outcome you seek, provide contact details and, if known, the enquiry date. No special form is required.
A reply will be provided within 14 days of receipt, by email or another agreed durable form. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. Complaints about a separate legal service should be addressed to the lawyer providing it.
10. Liability and user rights
The provider is responsible for its own service under applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restrict mandatory rights of consumers and other people entitled to statutory protection.
Aletia and a lawyer provide separate services. Facilitating contact does not mean Aletia accepts a litigation mandate or guarantees a lawyer’s actions. This does not affect the provider’s responsibility for its own acts or omissions.
11. Disputes
You may bring claims before the competent court. Consumers are not required to use exclusively the court at the provider’s registered office. You may also contact a municipal or district consumer ombudsman or use appropriate available out-of-court procedures under their rules.
Polish law applies, without removing mandatory consumer protection available under the applicable rules, including in cross-border situations.
12. Access, languages and changes
These terms are available free before submission and can be saved or printed using your browser. Polish, Ukrainian, English and Russian versions explain the same rules. Language uncertainties must not be resolved against consumers in disregard of transparency requirements.
Changes may follow changes in law, website functions, handling arrangements or provider details. A new version states its effective date and applies to future enquiries. It does not retrospectively change earlier terms or remove acquired rights. The accepted version is recorded with the enquiry.
